Buick Encore Oil Capacity

The 2023 Buick Encore is a subcompact SUV that offers a comfortable and stylish ride. It is powered by a 1.4L turbocharged engine that produces 155 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. This engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Oil Capacity

The oil capacity of the 2023 Buick Encore is 5.3 quarts, including the filter. However, it is important to note that the actual amount of oil required may vary depending on the specific model and trim level of the vehicle.

Recommended Oil Type

The manufacturer recommends using a 5W-30 synthetic oil for the 2023 Buick Encore. This oil weight provides the best protection for the engine in a variety of driving conditions.

How to Check the Oil Level

1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Wait a few minutes for the oil to settle into the oil pan.
3. Open the hood and locate the oil dipstick.
4. Pull out the dipstick and wipe it clean with a rag.
5. Insert the dipstick back into the oil pan until it is fully seated.
6. Pull out the dipstick again and check the oil level.

The oil level should be between the “FULL” and “ADD” marks on the dipstick. If the oil level is low, add enough oil to bring it up to the “FULL” mark.

* New oil filter (ACDelco PF47)
